Postdoctoral Researcher at Laboratory of Molecular Medical Biochemistry

Requirements:
- PhD in biological, medical or related sciences (obtained no earlier than 7 years before the date of project start)
- documented scientific achievements and activity (publications, presentations
at conferences, scientific internships, awards, scholarships) - practical and theoretical knowledge of myocardial physiology
- high motivation for scientific work, ability to do independent research work, formulate hypotheses, plan and perform experiments, and analyze their results
- experience in laboratory work in the field of biochemistry, physiology
- experience in working with animals (mouse models)
- very good oral and written English language skills.
Scope of tasks:
Participation in the realization of the research project entitled “Stearoyl-CoA desaturase as a novel regulator of cardiomyocyte maturation” financed by the National Science Center under the Opus-24 competition.
The job duties will include:
- conducting research involving studies using isolated mouse cardiomyocytes
- maintaining scientific documentation
- writing reports and presentation of results
- writing scientific publications.
Employment conditions:
- full-time fixed-term employment contract
- salary: about PLN 9,700 (gross) per month
- period of employment: up to 48 months
- starting date: October 2023.
