Lund Stem Cell Center is an internationally ranked research center in the strategic areas of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine within Lund University, Scandinavia’s largest institution for education and research. The Lund Stem Cell Center is a strong international research center with a focus on stem cell and developmental biology of the central nervous system, pancreas and blood system, development of stem cell and cell replacement therapies in these organ systems. The position will also be affiliated with the Kamprad laboratory, Lund University Cancer Center.

We are looking for a highly motivated recently graduated (within 3 years) top-level PhD with a strong background from molecular-, stem cell-, brain tumor- and neurobiology fields. Hands on experience working with reprogramming, brain tumors and in vivo models are meriting.
We are using transcription factor reprogramming of human and mouse brain tumors with the aim to translate this technique into clinical application. Practical work comprises in vitro reprogramming of brain tumor cell lines and primary cells, IHC as well as in vivo stereotactic surgery.
