Description:

We are seeking an excellent PhD student to work on a pioneering study amid to describe the biophysical and molecular mechanisms underlying epigenetic inheritance of superb learning capabilities. This position is offered in the frame of an international funded project at Prof. Edi Barkais’ lab at the University of Haifa, Israel. The project will combine working on single cell neurophysiological recordings in-vitro using whole cell patch clamp and intracellular sharp electrodes recordings, advanced genetic manipulations and behavioral studies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cellular neurophysiology, but enthusiasm, critical thinking and high motivation are more important.
