Description:

The Schiller lab seeks a highly skilled, motivated and resourceful PhD student or postdoctoral fellow to join the lab. The project is based on previous work from our laboratory published recently (Otor et al. Science 2022). A main goal of this project is to understand cell type dependent representation of motor information at the motor cortex in mice during motor learning at the healthy and Parkinsonian brain. The project will involve cutting-edge technologies including work with viral vectors, stereotaxic surgery, two and three photon microscopy, opto and chemogenetic techniques, molecular, morphological, behavioral and advanced analysis methods. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong experimental and quantitative background. Enthusiasm, critical thinking and high motivation are vital.
