Description:

This is a 6-month full-time on-site role located in the Florence, Italy Metropolitan Area as a Pre- or Post-doctoral Fellow focused on imaging in stroke. The successful candidate will work on developing and applying advanced imaging techniques in stroke mice, including two-photon imaging, to study mechanisms, biomarkers, and treatments for stroke. Other responsibilities include data analysis, manuscript preparation, and collaborating with other interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, neuroscience, physics, or related field) is preferred but not required.
• Experience in optical imaging techniques and analysis tools (e.g., ImageJ, MATLAB) is preferred but not required.
• Experience with mouse models of stroke is preferred but not required.
• Strong publication track record in high-impact journals related to imaging, stroke, and/or neuroscience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
