About us
The research group of the Institute for Neuroscience is a dynamic team interested in neuroepigenetic mechanisms in the nervous system and investigates them using a broad spectrum of the latest molecular biological and biochemical methods. More about us: https://www.i-med.ac.at/ge_nw/
Your tasks will include
- Technical support in the implementation of projects according to TVG 2012 incl. documentation and daily control of laboratory animals
- Carrying out genotyping of laboratory animals and tissue sampling
- Preparation of primary and secondary cultures for molecular biology experiments and general laboratory activities
- laboratory management
What you bring with you
- BMA: Bachelor’s degree in biomedical analysis or equivalent training, registration in the health professions register
- TA: Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or technical training or relevant apprenticeship qualification and several years of professional experience
- Expertise and experience in handling animals (especially mice)
- Optional experience with molecular biology methods (electrophoresis, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR) and with cell cultures
- Ability to work in a team and independently
Our offer
For the intended job group IIIb, the annual minimum salary according to the collective agreement is currently € 41,424.60 gross in the basic level and may possibly increase on the basis of the collective agreement regulations through the recognition of job-specific previous experience and other salary components associated with the special features of the job.
