POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN CELL REPROGRAMMING AND RNA DELIVERY

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology at University of Napoli “Federico II” to work on lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based delivery of RNA to generate neural phenotypes via cell reprogramming or differentiation of somatic cells and human induced pluripotent stem cells.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology, with a strong publication record. The candidate should be experienced in molecular biology, cell biology and human pluripotent stem cells. Experience in neurobiology and drug delivery related fields is favourable.

The main tasks will include: Cell culture of human iPS cells; mRNA IVT, generation of neural cells by direct cell reprogramming and directed differentiation, supervising PhD and master students, availability to spend periods abroad at Pharmaceutics group of Utrecht University to work on the optimization of LNP formulations.

Required personal skills: drive for innovative research and flexibility, capacity to teach and learn new techniques, scientific independence and creativity, good organization and communication skills.

Conditions of employment: The position is based on a renewable yearly contract with earliest starting date November 2024. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
