Description:

The Gozzi laboratory, at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (www.iit.it) is looking for a laboratory technician to join its neuroscience team (www.fnimg.iit.it), in Rovereto, Italy.

Research at the Gozzi lab is aimed at understanding how the brain works as an integrated network in health and disease. The Gozzi lab addresses this question by combining causal neural manipulations in rodents with functional neuroimaging methods (fMRI, fUS), multimodal recordings, and cutting-edge neuro-computational approaches.

The selected candidate will help implement optogenetics and/or electrophysiological recordings in rodents. Experience with the implementation of preprocessing and statistical analyses of electrophysiological or imaging data, will be considered a preferential asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and optimizing experimental protocols (optogenetics, electrophysiology, fUS imaging)
  • Assisting in data collection, quality control, and preprocessing
  • Organizing and managing lab inventory and equipment
  • Collaborating with technical staff, researchers, and students on various projects
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory procedures and contributing to the lab’s ongoing research
