Description:

The Rico Lab is interested in understanding the development of cortical neurons and how they are organised in functional networks, with a particular emphasis on cortical GABAergic circuitries (Kroon et al., BioRxiv 2024; Jezequel et al., BioRxiv 2023; Bernard et al., Science 2022; Favuzzi, Deogracias et al., Science 2019; Favuzzi et al Neuron 2017; del Pino, Brotons-Mas et al Nature Neuroscience 2017). We are looking for highly motivated post-doctoral scientists to investigate the development of inhibitory circuitries in the human cerebral cortex.

The Centre for Developmental Neurobiology and the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders are world-leading centres in developmental neuroscience and brain disorders, located in central London.

We are looking for highly motivated postdocs with a PhD awarded, preferably within the last 3 years and 1-2 publications.

Requirements

Essential

• Position: PhD in Neuroscience, experience in molecular and cell biology.

Desirable

• Experience in sequencing (e.g. scRNAseq, RNAseq)

Funding is available for two years with the possibility of extending up to 5 years and with salary according to experience.
