Description:

A 3-year post-doc position is available in the « Neurobiology and Neuropharmacology of Psychiatric Disorders » team, INSERM-University of Poitiers to work on the effects of environmental enrichment on relapse to addiction.

We use a unique, custom-made equipment, the Phenoworld, that allows monitoring individual and collective activity longitudinally in a semi-natural environment and determine how interactions with their living and non-living environment influence the risks of relapse to nicotine addiction.

Experiments will comprise intravenous self-administration, analysis of complex behavior in the Phenoworld using a combination of conventional and data mining and modelling approaches as well as molecular biology techniques (RNAseq, RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, etc) to investigate neurobiological correlates of behavior.

This project is part of a larger transdisciplinary and translational project that includes neuroscientists, pharmacologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and data scientists from the University of Poitiers as well as collaborators in France and abroad. The post-doc will have the possibility to interact and learn from scientists from these diverse backgrounds.

We are looking for motivated post-docs that are willing to work on this innovative project at the frontiers between behavioral pharmacology, artificial intelligence and neurosciences. Candidates with strong background in data-analysis and modelling are particularly encouraged to apply.

The position is for 3 years, and the starting data is expected in January-Mars 2025.
