Deputy Professorship for Systems Neurobiology / Neuromodulation

At Faculty 2 of the University of Bremen, there is a short-term opportunity for a deputy professorship for Systems Neurobiology /
Neuromodulation (in vivo) for the winter semester 2025/26, subject to the release of funds. We are looking for a person with experience in modern neuroscientific methods in the rodent model (e.g. optogenetics) who is willing to take on teaching duties – primarily in the Master of Neuroscience programme as well as in undergraduate teaching. Part of the undergraduate teaching requires German language skills. The deputy professorship is embedded in Bremen’s scientific network with a collaborative environment and access to a modern pool of neuroscientific methods, such as in-vivo imaging methods on the mouse model and high-density measurements using semiconductor electrodes. In addition, there is a strong network with the research focus Minds, Media, Machines and Theoretical Neurophysics/Computational Neuroscience.

If you are interested in such a deputy professorship, please express your interest at short notice and send us a short, expressive CV with information on methodological and content-related competences and existing teaching experience.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
