Research Technician/Assistant
We are a well-equipped laboratory that conducts behavioral neuropharmacology research in mice. We focus on understanding the effects of stress on the neurobiology of emotional behavior, and on the preclinical validation of novel neuropharmacological mechanisms that can restore healthy emotional functions.
We are looking to recruit a research technician or research assistant who has experience in at least some of the following methods/techniques:
- Animal experimentation with valid certification
- Behavioural testing
- Behavioural pharmacology
- Stereotactic surgery
- Ex vivo brain tissue analysis e.g. RNA isolation and RTq-PCR
- Data analysis/Statistics
- Report writing
Applicants should be a qualified laboratory technician (e.g. biology, pharmacology) or have a master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. biology, biomedicine, pharmacology). You are expected to be motivated, to be able to work independently, and also to function well in a small team and with collaboration partners.
