A three-year PostDoctoral position is available for a talented PhD interested in developmental neurobiology and imaging to study the development and regeneration of cornea axons in mice.
The candidate will be involved in a project that combines cutting-edge imaging methods and unique transgenic mouse models to investigate the role axon guidance cues in the maintenance and plasticity of corneal nerves, and their impact on corneal epithelium homeostasis.
The candidate must have recognized certified experience and training with rodents (surgery will be a plus).
Candidates should have proven research productivity as demonstrated by publications.
Qualifications in several of the following areas is required:
- PhD in Neurobiology or Developmental Biology
- Proficiency in Microscopy (live imaging, spinning disk or 2-Photon)
- Strong experience with experiments on transgenic mice.
- Expertise in image processing
- Developmental neurobiology
The candidate must be able to work independently and in an international team and will join the laboratory of Prof. Alain Chédotal and Prof. Nacim Bouheraoua at the Vision Institute in Paris.
The position is available from October 1st 2025 on.
The contract initially runs for three years. The salary will be according to the French salary scale.
