Position: Postdoctoral Fellow – Mouse Neurodevelopment and Rare Diseases
Location: CRCHUM, Université de Montréal, Montréal, QC, Canada
Start Date: Flexible (open until filled)
Duration: 2 years (renewable based on performance and funding)
Project Overview
We have identified a novel gene involved in neurodevelopmental disorders, in collaboration with clinicians and a patient association. You will lead the in vivo functional analysis of this gene using conditional KO mouse models, with a focus on brain development, neuronal differentiation, and seizure susceptibility. All models are already generated.
Required Qualifications

PhD in neuroscience, developmental biology, or related field

Strong expertise in mouse neurodevelopment (mandatory)

Skilled in histology, immunofluorescence, and molecular analysis of mouse brains

Comfortable with in vivo mouse handling and genotyping

Experience in EEG, behavior, or transcriptomic analyses is a plus
