Description:
The Ampatzis Lab at Karolinska Institutet is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with strong expertise in electrophysiology to investigate mechanisms of neuroplasticity and regeneration using the zebrafish model system. Our lab applies multidisciplinary approaches to understand how the nervous system adapts to physiological and pathological changes.
Position Summary
We are looking for a passionate, organized, and creative scientist with solid hands-on experience in electrophysiological recordings, especially whole-cell patch-clamp, and a strong interest in neural circuit function and plasticity.
The earliest start date is Autumn 2025, but this may change when a suitable candidate is found.
Key Responsibilities
– Design and perform in vivo and ex vivo neurophysiological experiments in zebrafish.
– Analyze and interpret electrophysiological data using advanced data analysis tools.
– Integrate electrophysiological data with anatomical and behavioral findings.

– Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary research team.
– Present findings in publications and scientific meetings.
Qualifications
– Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field (obtained within the last 2 years).
