Lab description
Prof. Moran Rubinstein leads a research lab at Tel Aviv University focused on uncovering the neuronal and molecular mechanisms of developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs). Her team aims to develop innovative, disease-modifying therapies for severe neurodevelopmental disorders. In collaboration with Prof. Eric Kremer (CNRS, France), her lab developed a viral-mediated gene therapy for Dravet syndrome, showing efficacy in juvenile and adult mice. They also established mouse models for GRIN2D- and CHD2-related DEEs, enabling mechanistic studies and preclinical therapy testing. The lab integrates genetic, electrophysiological, and behavioral approaches to link molecular changes with brain and behavior.
