The Cyprus Neuroscience Society (C.N.S.) is dedicated to advancing neuroscience knowledge and research in Cyprus and beyond. Our vision is to establish a vibrant scientific community that promotes understanding of the nervous system and its role in behaviour, while fostering collaboration among researchers, academics, and professionals in neuroscience and related fields.

Our mission is to promote education in neuroscience using credible scientific discourse, stimulate public interest in neuroscience research and its applications, cultivate appropriate attitudes toward neuroscience-related issues, represent Cyprus in international scientific organisations and conferences, support our members’ scientific activities, and establish close relationships with similar organisations both locally and internationally. As a purely scientific, non-political and non-profit organisation, we are committed to enhancing neuroscience research and education in Cyprus while considering local needs and resources.

The Cyprus Neuroscience Society actively promotes neuroscience advancement through a diverse array of initiatives centered on education, research, and community engagement. We regularly organise lectures, discussions, conferences, and seminars that bring together researchers and practitioners to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration.

Our society publishes periodicals showcasing neuroscience research in Cyprus, which we distribute both locally and to partner organisations abroad. We establish specialised working groups to address key issues in the field and develop proposals that further neuroscience understanding and application. The Society takes pride in representing Cyprus at international scientific events and works diligently to integrate our members into the global neuroscience community. We support our members’ scientific endeavors by providing platforms for recognition, collaboration, and professional growth. Through educational programming and public-facing scientific gatherings, we strive to cultivate broader understanding and appreciation of neuroscience among both specialists and the general public, while maintaining our commitment to scientific integrity and non-political engagement in all our activities.
