Neurology is the study of injuries, disorders, diagnosis and treatment of the brain, spine and nervous system including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissues. There are over 600 known Neurological Disorders that severely affect our nervous system, but treatment options for the majority of these diseases are very limited, and research is ongoing. According to a global study conducted by WHO, 8 out of 10 disorders are neurological problems, with three of the disability classes being the most severe. Every year, 6.8 million people worldwide die as a result of neurological disorders or injury. Nearly 38% of the total population in Europe and the United States suffers from a brain disorder. Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
