GeNeDIS is a global summit entitled “Genomics, Neuroscience, Therapeutics and Data Innovation Summit” that takes place every two years. The conference is organized by the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology (BiHELab) of the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University. GeNeDis 2018 was held under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, while the GeNeDis 2020 conferences, and GeNeDis 2022 were under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou. GeNeDIS 2024 has the support of the National Organization for Medicines. Over 30 keynote speakers from leading institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Karolinska Institutet of Neurophysiology, National Institute on Aging (NIA/NIH), EMBL Heidelberg and Columbia University are included in the science program to share their work and discuss the latest findings in the field of neuroscience. Our keynote speakers come from various backgrounds such as neurology, psychology, biology, mathematics, data sciences, etc. Therefore, they reinforce the interdisciplinary character of the conference. The theme of the conference is “Computational neuroscience and integrative medicine: A holistic approach to health and well-being”. Our keynote speakers will discuss and highlight key issues, trends and current practices for the audience. The conference focuses on the latest major challenges of scientific research, the development of new biomarkers and protocols for early diagnosis of diseases, and the identification of new drug targets and imaging techniques.
