ECNP Workshop for Junior Scientists in Europe

Nice, FR

Attendance type(s): In Person

Event Dates: 15—18 Mar 2018

The ECNP Workshop is organised every year to stimulate high-quality neuroscience research into brain disorders and their treatments. Junior scientists from Europe are brought together with research leaders to discuss and present the latest advances and perspectives in applied neuroscience research.

Each year, the workshop addresses three main topics, on each of which two senior scientists give general talks:
· Molecular and cellular
· Behavioural and systems
· Clinical neuroscience

The variable topic (also two talks by senior scientists) in 2018 is:
· Modern phenotyping technologies

This year the keynote lecture is provided by Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, from the United Kingdom, entitled ‘Development of the adolescent brain: implications for executive function and social cognition’.

Are you a junior scientist* or do you know one in your institute who is?

We invite you** and/or them to apply for the ECNP workshop by submitting an abstract on your best work before 16 October 2017 via: https://www.ecnp.eu/junior-scientists/workshops/CMAbstractSubmission2018.

All abstracts will be reviewed, scored and the top 100 selected to attend. All participants will present a poster. In addition, from the accepted abstracts, 20 junior scientists will be invited to present their data during one of the main sessions at the ECNP Workshop 2018.

For those selected there is no registration fee and accommodation is covered by ECNP. Hotel accommodation is offered for three nights in a shared room, with breakfast, at the workshop venue.
