Neurosurgeons having completed or almost completed their residency and having paid their membership to the ESSFN are eligible for this European program. Members of the ESSFN from outside Europe are also eligible. In case of a number of demands exceeding the capacity of the course the priority will be given to European neurosurgeons and to those who have completed their residency.

after attending this course, participantsshould have an understanding of:
1. Basic anatomy and physiologyrelated to pain syndromes and spasticity
2.clinical evidence for the use of neuromodulation therapiesin pain and spasticityconditions
3.current neuromodulation techniques and programming devicesfor neuropathic pain and spasticity
4.ethicalconcernsin Pain and the role of placebo
an evaluation is organized at the end of the course.
