The Spring School is an annual meeting that has been held for the past 18 years organized in Cambridge about some aspect of damage and repair of the nervous system. This year the topic is RESTORING FUNCTION; Regeneration, Plasticity, Replacement, Prostheses.
The meeting is particularly aimed at PhD students and post-docs who are involved in research that aims to protect, repair and restore function the nervous system. The objective is to provide lectures that give an overview of the field suitable for those who are not specialists in the field as well as descriptions of the latest research. The talks are 45 minutes including questions. There is a poster session, and dinners, lunches and breaks that provide many opportunities to discuss science and socialize with those attending the meeting. A particularly popular part of the meeting are the clinical sessions, where we bring patients with the relevant diseases to talk with the participants.
