4th Science Factory: TMS-EEG Summer School

The Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering at Aalto University School of Science will organize the 4th Science Factory: TMS–EEG Summer School, in Espoo, Finland, on 6–11 June, 2016.

With the 4th Science Factory we continue to enhance the interaction and discussion within the international TMS–EEG community. The purpose of the course is to the present latest scientific results, to brainstorm new ideas, to help integrate European and global efforts in the field, and to educate newcomers by bringing together leaders in the field as teachers and discussants.

We have organized a similar event annually 2013-2015, and it has been very successful and growing. In 2015, about 60 people participated in the Science Factory: in addition to our organizing TMS group, almost 40 M.Sc. students, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral researcher participated as students, guided by over 10 leading scientists in the field.

The course is targeted to students working with TMS, the emphasis being in TMS–EEG. The participants are chosen based on their applications and level of studies; primarily, master’s or doctoral students, and post-doctoral researchers are chosen.
