Alison Abbott, European Science Journalist of the year

FENS would like to extend its warmest congratulations to Alison Abbott, joint winner of the European Science Journalist of the Year award in print and online category, delivered by the Association of British Science Writers. 

Alison Abbott was recognised for three stories, including one on Neuroscientist Nachum Ulanovsky and his discovery of new aspects of how the brain encodes navigation, published in Nature in July 2018 (read the full article here).

Alison Abbott, journalist at Nature, was also Chair of the FENS Communication Committee from 2014-2018.
