Nineteen years after the 2004 Forum of European Neuroscience in Lisbon, the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience (SPN)  will be organising the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM) in Algarve, Portugal, on 3-5 May 2023.

The president of the SPN, Ana Cristina Rego, announces that “the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience is happy to welcome basic researchers and clinicians from all over Europe and overseas, working in different areas of neuroscience, to the next FENS Regional Meeting  (FRM2023), which will be held in the sunny, southern region of Portugal, Algarve!”

The FENS Regional Meeting is dedicated to supporting member societies in promoting excellence in research, with a European regional focus. FRMs aim to strengthen neuroscience in all European countries, promote scientific exchange within and across European regions and secure representation and access to the FRM programme for underrepresented scientists and topics.

FRMs are held in odd years and therefore alternate with FENS Forums; they are organised by FENS member societies, alone or in partnership in a geographical region. The Governing Council of the FENS member societies chooses the location of each FRM.
