Funding call opens to tackle big challenges in mental health

MQ has now launched its funding call providing a total of over £1 million to researchers exploring new and better ways to understand, treat and prevent mental illness.

Through the Fellows Award, MQ is looking for the best and brightest early-career scientists and clinicians from all corners of the globe and across all scientific disciplines relevant to mental health.

This year’s funding has been increased to include a new UK-based Award, co-funded with Arthritis Research UK.

Key details:

  • Up to £225,000 over 3 years will be available to researchers establishing their independence.
  • Research from all disciplines from the social, psychological or biological sciences can be funded.
  • The funding call will be open until 5 May, 17:00 BST.
  • MQ supports interdisciplinary and innovative science and it is looking for projects that can demonstrate how they utilise tools, techniques or expertise from across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
