FENS News, Neuroscience News

Registration for the FENS Friday webinar on “The microbiome, immunity, and neurodevelopment trialogue: from womb to adulthood” is now open.

The microbiome topic has emerged as a field of great interest with multiple implications in many neurological diseases, from development until late adulthood. Interactions between the early life microbiome and the immune system are important for neurodevelopment and alterations in microbiome-neuroimmune communication may predispose individuals to neurological diseases. Recent years have witnessed major advances in the identification of possible related mechanisms that hold promise to lead to new targeted therapies.

This FENS Friday live webinar, taking place on 21 October from 2:00 to 3:00 PM CEST, will provide state-of-the-art knowledge on the microbiome and its influence on immunity and the nervous system from gestation until adulthood.
