The Kavli Foundation has announced the second annual Kavli Scientist-Writer Workshops, 5-day writer’s workshops for professional scientists and engineers, which are sponsored by The Kavli Foundation with additional support from New York University.

These intense workshops aim to help scientists move beyond technical writing, so that they will be able not only to engage colleagues in other fields, but communicate the excitement and importance of their research with the world.

Led by Gary Marcus (award-winning scientist, bestselling author and freelancer for The New Yorker), participants are now being selected for the next two scheduled workshops:

6-11 April 2015, The Kavli Royal Society International Centre at Chicheley Hall, United Kingdom

1-5 June 2015, New York University

Active scientists from all disciplines and all institutions, senior and junior scientists, PhD-level and above, are encouraged to apply.

Tuition is free, and expenses are covered, but participation is strictly limited.
