NENS Call for Education and Training Clusters 2020

The Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS) was founded in 2003 by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), with the purpose of serving as a platform for interaction, exchange of best practices, and experience sharing among the neuroscience graduate school programmes in Europe. NENS currently brings together over 190 graduate school programmes that offer MSc, PhD and MD-PhD degrees in neuroscience across 30 European countries.

NENS members have access to FENS and IBRO-PERC funding to organise courses, their graduate schools are exposed to a wide international audience, and their students benefit from a number of advantages. Check here a summary of the benefits available for NENS school members and their students.

Eligibility criteria: The proposed clusters should consist of at least 3 NENS graduate school programmes** and cover minimum 3 different European countries.

Topics: The clusters should address new needs in the neuroscience community and respond to current challenges encountered in specific neuroscience domains***. The goal is to foster scientific or administrative cooperation among the NENS graduate schools.

Deliverables: Possible deliverables for NENS clusters could include: creation of core curricula (defining specific skills) for a neuroscience domain; production of online materials (webinars, workshops); initiating, enriching or expanding a teaching programme, etc.

These outcomes will be presented to FENS-CHET and further disseminated to the FENS community.
