Nuno Sousa – Moderator and Speaker
Nuno Sousa (MD, PhD) is a Full Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Minho, as well as a Visiting Professor at Upstate Medical University, NY. He earned his MD and PhD at Porto Medical School. He has served on several medical education and medical assessment advisory boards, including NBME and EuroBMA. A main focus of his research is on establishing functional and structural correlations mediated by stress and determining their implications in neuropsychiatric disorders.
Dara Cannon – Speaker
Dara Cannon is a Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Galway in western Ireland. Her research explores the biological foundations of psychiatric disorders, utilising brain imaging, genetics, cognitive assessments, and life context analyses. Her teaching focuses on gross anatomy, as well as neuroanatomy and neuroimaging through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Bratislav Misic – Speaker
Bratislav Misic is an Associate Professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute at McGill University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Mathematics at the University of Toronto. He trained with Randy McIntosh at the University of Toronto (Ph.D.) and with Olaf Sporns at Indiana University (postdoc). At the Montreal Neurological Institute, he leads the Network Neuroscience Lab. His group pursues several research themes, from modeling communication processes on anatomical networks to statistical models of network architecture and disease propagation.
