Moderator – Armelle Rancillac

Armelle Rancillac completed her PhD in Neuroscience in 2003 at Paris VI, where she conducted research in F. Crépel’s lab, focusing on synaptic plasticity using patch-clamp recordings on cerebellar slices in mice. Her doctoral work first described different forms of synaptic plasticity between stellate cells and parallel fibers. Currently, Armelle Rancillac is engaged in research as part of Rouach’s team at the Collège de France. Her current focus is on investigating the contribution of neuron-glia communication to the regulation of NREM sleep in the VLPO of mice. Through her ongoing work, she aims to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying sleep regulation and the role of glial cells in this process.
