FENS is delighted to announce that applications for the FENS-Dana Brain Awareness Week 2024 grants will open from 12 July until 14 August 2023.
Every year, FENS, on behalf of the Dana Foundation, provides financial support of up to EUR 1,000 to event organisers across Europe during the Brain Awareness Week on 11-17 March 2024.
To gather inspiration and valuable insights, we encourage you to watch the recorded webinar “Running a Brain Awareness Week event in 2022”, offering ideas and useful tips that can help you create a successful outreach event.
Don’t miss this opportunity to receive funding for your Brain Awareness Week event and contribute to the promotion of neuroscience education and awareness. Mark your calendars and prepare to submit your application on 12 July 2023.
What type of events are funded?
There are no constraints regarding the Brain Awareness Week! FENS, on behalf of the Dana Foundation, has funded events that include lectures, symposia, panel discussions, lab tours, science competitions, concerts, and much more.

About Brain Awareness Week
Organised by the Dana Foundation, Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is an opportunity to let people know about the progress that is being made in brain research as well as progress in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the brain, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, schizophrenia and depression.
